As AI tools become part of daily learning, work, and decision-making, using them responsibly is no longer optional — it’s essential. Ethical AI use means applying technology in a way that is fair, transparent, safe, and human-centered.
What Is Ethical Use of AI?

- Using AI to support human judgment, not replace responsibility
- Ensuring fairness and non-bias
- Protecting privacy and data
- Being honest about AI-generated content
- Avoiding harm, misuse, and manipulation
Core Principles of Responsible AI Use
- Transparency:- Always be clear when AI is used.
- Good practice:
- Mention when content is AI-assisted
- Label AI-generated images, text, or reports
- Inform students or clients when AI tools are involved
- Human Oversight:- AI should assist not decide alone.
- Good practice:
- Humans review AI outputs
- Final decisions remain with people
- No blind copy–paste from AI systems
- Rule: AI suggests — Humans decide.
- Accuracy & Verification:- AI can be wrong or outdated.
- Good practice:
- Fact-check important information
- Cross-verify with trusted sources
- Never use AI output directly for legal, medical, or policy decisions without expert review
- Privacy & Data Protection:- Never expose sensitive data to AI tools carelessly.

- Use anonymized or sample data whenever possible.
